LIVE ONLINE COURSE
Advanced Shadow Work and Psychedelic Integration: A Jungian Path to Embodied Wholeness
A live online course for understanding the unconscious material psychedelics can reveal and learning how to meet it with depth, skill, and care.
Psychedelic experiences can open the door to awe, insight, beauty, and healing. They can also reveal the parts of ourselves we avoid: shame, grief, fear, old wounds, relational defenses, spiritual inflation, hidden gifts, and unconscious patterns. This 8-week live course helps you understand and integrate that material through Jungian psychology, psychedelic integration, somatic awareness, archetypal inquiry, and reflective practice.
Dates: Mondays, October 26 - Dec 14, 2026 - 8 weeks live on Zoom
Time: 10:00 am -12:00 pm PST / 1:00-3:00 pm EST
Early-Bird Pricing Ends September 4th
Sign up before September 4th to receive exclusive access to course material and virtual meet-up before class begins in October, and the series, Soul Retrieval: Psychedelics, Depth Psychology and Reclaiming the Importance of Soul
This course is a deep dive into Carl Jung’s map and structure of the psyche with an emphasis on the archetypal Shadow—the unconscious aspect of the psyche.
Blending Depth psychology, mythology, and embodied practices, the course will cover a depth approach to understanding and working with shadow material.
Special emphasis is placed on the intersection of Jungian theory with contemporary psychedelic-assisted therapy, examining how altered states can illuminate and integrate the Shadow, using applicable interventions and tools. Ideal for clinicians, seekers, and anyone interested in depth psychology and transformative inner work.
COURSE OVERVIEW
Advanced Shadow Work & Psychedelic Integration: A Jungian Path to Embodied Wholeness
-
🧠 Are curious about the structure of the psyche based on Jungian and depth psychology?
🍄 Are you interested in the therapeutic potential of psychedelics and their interplay with Jungian psychology?
✨ Are you looking for transformative tools to aid in self-awareness and personal growth?
👥 Are you looking for new ways to support your clients to work with the Shadow?
Shadow work:
⚫ Has the Shadow or Shadow Work been coming up for you often?⚫ Have you encountered the Shadow during a psychedelic experience?
⚫ Are you trying to understand better the shadow so you can integrate it into your life?
⚫ Ever felt there's a deeper, hidden side to yourself waiting to be discovered?
-
The concept of the Shadow originates from the work of Swiss psychiatrist, Carl Jung. In Jungian psychology, the Shadow represents the unconscious or repressed parts of the psyche. It's essentially the "dark side" of our personality: the hidden, unacknowledged, and often repressed aspects of oneself. This includes desires, fears, instincts, and behaviors that one might find disturbing or undesirable.
The Shadow isn't just negative and dark, as many portray it as. It can also contain positive traits that were suppressed during early development due to societal or familial pressures. For instance, a person might suppress their artistic talents because their family values more "practical" professions.
Psychedelics do not only reveal the light.
They can also bring people into contact with shadow material: grief, shame, anger, fear, defenses, projections, family patterns, spiritual bypassing, power dynamics, and the parts of the self that have been pushed out of awareness.
Without a strong framework, that material can feel confusing, destabilizing, or easy to avoid. Shadow work gives language, structure, and practice to the integration process.
This course helps you explore questions like:
Why did that memory, image, emotion, or pattern emerge during my experience?
How do I work with shame, fear, grief, anger, or the inner critic without forcing catharsis?
How do projections and relational patterns shape integration?
What is the “golden shadow” and how do psychedelics reveal hidden gifts?
How can Jungian concepts support psychedelic meaning-making?
What does ethical, embodied shadow work look like in personal and professional practice
By not being aware of having a shadow, you declare a part of your personality to be non-existent. Then it enters the kingdom of the non-existent, which swells up and takes on enormous proportions…If you get rid of qualities you don’t like by denying them, you become more and more unaware of what you are.

In 2016, Kyle Buller and Joe Moore co-founded Psychedelics Today, one of the world’s leading psychedelic media and education companies. Kyle's interest in exploring non-ordinary states of consciousness began at the age of 16 when he suffered a traumatic snowboarding accident. After this near-death experience, Kyle’s life changed dramatically. Kyle subsequently earned his B.A. in Transpersonal Psychology from Burlington College, where he focused on studying the healing potential of non-ordinary states of consciousness by exploring shamanism, Reiki, local medicinal plants and plant medicine, Holotropic Breathwork, and psychedelic psychotherapy. Kyle has been studying Dreamshadow Transpersonal breathwork with Lenny and Elizabeth since October 2010.
Kyle earned his M.S. in clinical mental health counseling with an emphasis in somatic psychology from Prescott College. Kyle’s clinical background in mental health consists of working with at-risk teenagers in crisis and with individuals experiencing an early episode of psychosis and providing counseling to undergraduate/graduate students in a university setting. Kyle also has experience offering psychotherapy services specializing in psychedelic integration, spiritual emergence, and ketamine-assisted psychotherapy.

By trade, Mackenzie is a Jungian psychotherapist, consultant, & 5Rhythms® teacher. By vocation, she is a psychedelic facilitator, depth psychology scholar, and writer. By design, she is a collection of fractal, holographic cells dancing around some strange attractor for the sake of who knows what to live an insignificant, mythic life reflective of the mysterious vital spark within her. She identifies as a series of memories & unverifiable subjective experiences of self-hood to which she is rather fondly attached. She has a penchant for scholarship, the occult, pedantic erudition, morbid humor, grandiosity, nihilism, & semi-responsible hedonism. Born in the shadow of New Age culture into a fractured family system & the subjective experiencer of (arguably) extreme early childhood trauma, her life’s work is to heal psychic wounds – her’s and other’s – that she & others become strong enough to contend with the unconscious quicksands and transpersonal abysses which lap at the periphery of developing consciousness. She is an emergent property of Being playing at becoming sovereign. She really, really loves butter.

COURSE INFO
About the course
In the vast landscape of the human psyche, there lies a hidden realm known as the Shadow. This is the part of ourselves that we often deny or suppress, the aspects we're unaware of, yet they influence our behaviors, relationships, and life choices. Psychedelics, on the other hand, have been used for millennia as tools for deep introspection, healing, and spiritual growth. When combined, the exploration of the Jungian Shadow through the lens of psychedelics offers a profound journey into self-awareness and transformation.
